Lug Tread Tire
These tires are used in applications where traction is important, such as loose soil, uphill driving or even for plowing snow. They're used on the rear wheels only, but even without turning they can still cause some damage to turf because the tread is so aggressive.
Commercial Grade Turf Tire
Commercial grade tires are similar in design to the square shoulder tires, but they are heavier duty, with heavier ply ratings and deeper treads for longer life in commercial applications. You'll often find them on equipment such as lawn mower and golf course maintenance vehicles.
Which type of tire is best for you is going to depend on how your tractor gets used. If you often drive on soft or loose surfaces, or pull other equipment with it, you're going to choose a different tire than if most of your driving is on harder ground.
